December 2025
As we approach the end of the year, many of us are still carrying the weight of challenges that have touched both our physical and mental health—challenges often born from circumstances far beyond our control. Our society continues to shift in ways that have unsettled families, strained relationships, and heightened stress. We are witnessing more aggression, manipulation, blame, guilt, and anger than ever before. And even as awareness of mental health grows, meaningful access to care remains difficult for too many. The suffering is real, and the support is stretched thin, especially as we move into the holiday season. The holidays, traditionally a time of love, gratitude, and connection, can bring joy for some and emotional overwhelm for others. Financial pressures, loneliness, grief, and unmet expectations can create moments that feel anything but festive. With rising costs, many feel burdened by the belief that appreciation must be shown through material gifts. But the most meaningful expressions of love rarely carry a price tag. This is a moment to remember that our children—and the people around us—are watching how we respond to adversity. When we struggle, they often struggle alongside us. Open, compassionate communication is essential, and we must be mindful not to place the weight of our worries on their shoulders. Love, attention, and presence are gifts that cost nothing yet mean everything. We are living in a time that calls for courage—not the kind that meets anger with anger, but the kind that overcomes ill-intended actions with forgiveness, compassion, and grace. We cannot always control how others treat us, but we can control the example we set. The most powerful way to counter aggression, negativity, and hurt is to lead with love. Small acts of kindness, moments of empathy, and gestures of service—these are the tools that soften hard hearts and heal divided spaces. This holiday season, may we choose to rise above. May we choose understanding over judgment, patience over frustration, forgiveness over resentment, and love over fear. And by doing so, may we inspire those around us to do the same. Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful, safe, and meaningful holiday season. May it be a time of healing, hope, and connection for all.
